Stock the Bar
Your friends have moved into a new home and are now hosting a Stock the Bar party. Before you head over to check out their new digs, be sure to have a fabulous gift in hand.
For wine lovers, bring a celebratory bottle of Sparkling Shiraz. It's a bubbly red, sweet Australian wine that pairs well with cured meats. Chowhound enjoyed Mollydooker's Goosebumps Sparkling Shiraz (bottom, center), when it was available. Now you can try Mollydooker's current vintage, Miss Molly Sparkling Shirz.
Pick up a unique bottle opener, such as the antique key from Pottery Barn pictured above (bottom, left), to partner with the wine, as well as a cookbook about wine bar food, such as Wine Bar Food: Mediterranean Flavors to Crave with Wines to Match by Cathy and Tony Mantuano (bottom, right), available at The Art Institute Museum Shop. We highly recommend the endive marmalade recipe.
For those who prefer a classy drink, like a gimlet, we suggest shaking things up a bit. Give their drink new life with Absolut's Wild Tea Vodka. Don't forget the limes!
