Bella Ink Offers Templates for Most Popular Design Sizes

Every so often we hear from customers who want to do their invitation or note card printing at home.  Until now, we haven't been able to provide much guidance beyond:

1. Measure your designs' margins, enter them into the program you're using.

2. Type up your event's important deets, or that monogram you've been dreaming about.

3. Print on plain paper first to make sure everything lines up correctly, then have it.

Bella Ink has hundreds of designs on offer, and it would be quite a task to create a template for each of them.  Luckily, we have a fabulous graphic designer in the studio who finally rolled up her sleeves and generated templates for three of our most popular design sizes.

On our At Home Printing Guidelines page, you'll find links to general templates for Folded Notes (4.25x5.5), #10-Size Invitations(4x9.25), and Half-Sheet Invitations (5.5x8.5).  Since each of our designs is unique, we still suggest printing on plain paper first to make sure everything lines up and stays clear of any patterns and/or icons.

Bella Ink Designs' Invitations for the Boys

PH-180

Need an invitation to celebrate the man in your life?  Bella Ink offers a variety of invitations free of flowering accents to suit any occasion, from birthday bashes to retirement parties.

Appropriate for any age, this chalkboard inspired print uses bold colors to highlight the important message here... It's a SURPRISE!  If news leaks, blame the guest with loose lips not Bella Ink.  We did our part.  Measuring 5.5 x 8.5, this design has been printed on a premium cream, card stock.

Fundraisers, birthdays and more, this golf theme invitation will gather the guys for a day of keeping score.  A coordinating note card (CC-102) reads, "World's Greatest Dad," should the kids want to celebrate with a day on the greens.  This 5.5 x 8.5 invitation has been printed on a premium white, textured card stock.

Get guests on board to celebrate the man who keeps a boat (or wishes he kept a boat) docked in any of the world's great bodies of water.  This nautical theme invitation has been printed with letters spelling out "Party" beneath flags waving over the event's details.  Measuring 5.5 8.5, this invitation has been printed on a premium white, textured card stock.

PH-122

Chevron, done in mossy green, muddy purples and aquas, decorate the cake and border on this 5.5 x 8.5 birthday invitation printed on a premium white, textured card stock.  This design celebrates boys to men with vibrancy and cheer.

Bella Ink Loves: Summers on the Water

In Chicago, it's not summer if it doesn't include a day (or more) on the lake.  Bella Ink's President and Creative Director, Melissa, loves to unwind by sailing as often as possible.  Her love of the water has inspired many a design here at Bella Ink, and since we can't think of summer, or summer parties like The Fourth of July, without thinking about boating, here's a collection of our favorite nautical designs.

Bella Ink Loves: Summer Cookouts and Cocktails

It's time to light the grill, sit on the patio with a cold beverage (we like Moscow Mules) and gather with friends and family simply because its summer.  Bella Ink has a fabulous selection of invitations for cookouts and cocktails, so go ahead and plan your evening "out."  You'll need those memories when the long winter comes calling.

Moscow Mule:

1/2 oz. Lime Juice
2 oz. Vodka (Try Titos)
4-6 oz. Ginger Beer

Serve over ice, ideally in a copper mug and garnish with a lime wedge.  To make this a Kentucky Mule, swap out the vodka for bourbon.

It's the little things that amuse the littlest people in our lives.  A freight train rolling along the tracks, a smaller version bringing food to the table at their favorite restaurant (like 2Toots Train Whistle Grill), or the one on TV urging them to call out, "Choo, choo!"  Some kids collect creepy crawlies, like caterpillars and potato bugs, storing them in bug condos and feeding them lawn clippings.  At Bella Ink, we've transformed their favorite things into affordable fill-in party invitations and coordinating, flat thank you notes.

Bella Ink Designs' 2014 party invitations and greetings are a vibrant mix of color and pattern, a signature of our #GIRLBOSS, Melissa Danaher.  She's been loving the DIY tassel banners showing up on wedding blogs and Pinterest, and incorporated the idea into her newest invitations and greetings. 

If you're feeling confident about your DIY skills and want to create a tassel banner of your own, check out this instructional video on YouTube.  If not, you can always hit up Etsy's artisans and have a banner delivered right to your door.  EverlyLaneDesign offers boatloads of fun garland designs, and the option to customize one of your own.

A Sneak Peek & Info About Bella Ink and The National Stationery Show

We're finally ready to launch our Fall/Winter 2014 line of stationery into the world!  (That's why we've been so quiet.  We've been very busy working.)  Above is one of our newest baby shower invitations, as well as coordinating note cards.  We hope to have all new products posted online by the end of this month.  Keep checking back.  We have lots to share.

Suite Saturday: Get Set for Your Event

Woodland weddings inspired this series of Spring/Summer 2014 invitations from Bella Ink Designs.  Each invitation is shown with corresponding notes and response/table cards that will set the tone for any rustic event, whether it's in a barn, by a lake or at the city's hip new eatery.

Invitation: PH-163, Top Note: W-32, Middle Note: EF-76 and Bottom Note: EF-92

Bella Ink is embracing the rainbow hued bridal party trend by incorporating a variety of vibrant colors on each Spring/Summer 2014 invitation.  Pinks mix with hot oranges, and sunshiny yellows mesh with aquas and orchids.  Be sure to visit the Bella Ink website and check out WH-75, too.  This bridal shower invitation is a simple blue and white design featuring a bride and her bouquet, which is bursting with color.

In addition to wildflowers, take a cue from these invitations and incorporate feathers into bouquets, boutonnieres, and other floral arrangements for the big day.  And remember, wedding invitations should match the bride and groom's vision and personality, even if that means building a suite of stationery that's  a little less traditional.  It will make complete sense to those who know them well.

Suite Saturday: Get Set for Your Event!

We're going to admit to something.  We've found ourselves humming carols while doing mindless activities.  The First Noel often comes to mind without any prompting.  This is clearly a sign to start incorporating holiday designs into our Suite Saturdays.  Ready or not, we're embracing the spirit of the season and preparing for all the family, friends, food and fun coming our way.  And, if any snow in our near future could be kept to evenings, weekends, and ski towns, it may be a perfect winter.

If you've picked purple as one of your event's colors, then you're in good company.  Purple has been a color used by royals since antiquity.  Bella Ink has several invitations in varying shades of this high-end hue to suit your event, be it in a garden or a ballroom.

Bella Ink's invitations and note cards may be printed in the Bella Ink studio before shipping to your door.  After you've made your purchase, simply email our graphic designer: kristin@bellaink.com.  In your email, please include your order number along with the wording you would like to appear on your invitations and/or note cards.

October in Chicago can be one of the most beautiful and comfortable months when it comes to the weather.  It can also turn in a second, usually at the end of the month as November approaches.  None-the-less, we relish every minute of it, and it's even inspired some of our invitations.
